What is Dipylidium caninum?<\/p>\n

It is a parasite, more precisely: a flatworm (Taenia)<\/em> that lives in the intestines of dogs and cats. It has several segments: beige and mobile. The segments contain the eggs of the parasite, the larvae of the fleas ingest them and when they become adult fleas and put themselves in the coat of your pets. When they groom themselves, they will contaminate themselves by ingesting the fleas.<\/p>\n
